George Daniel Gordon III grew up in the heart of Brooklyn, New York, where he was exposed to the abundant museums of the city. When he was just 14, he began his pursuit of photography. As a young adult, George served in two foreign conflicts: Desert Shield and the first Gulf War, during which he worked at times as a combat medic. Afterwards he pursued a career in the industrial metal industry and graduated after five-year program for veterans in pipe-fitting, a field that requires tremendous mathematical skills. Thank you for featuring this image. I have been spending time looking at the other images you have featured and noticed an interesting difference between my image and the others. A lot of Catholic art is complex, like the religion itself. "Green Cross on Hill" is the most minimalist of them all. Maybe I should have named this painting "A Whisper of Faith." What do you think?
