George Daniel Gordon III grew up in the heart of Brooklyn, New York, where he was exposed to the abundant museums of the city. When he was just 14 years old, he began his pursuit of photography. As a young adult, George served in two foreign conflicts: Desert Shield and the first Gulf War, during which he served at times as a combat medic. Afterwards he pursued a career in the industrial metal industry and graduated after five-year program for veterans in pipefitting, a field that requires tremendous mathematical skills. He became a journeyman, a.k.a., master craftsman, in 2014. Dedicated to every effort he pursues, George’s artistry not only includes photographs, but it also includes two- and three-dimensional art. His sculptures are multi-mediums, usually a combination of recycled metals and woods, which – when completed – appear like jewels of color.
